Scarlet Pearl Casino’s Anthony Rametta is the “Culinary King of the Casino” after winning the 2017 Gaming & Destinations Magazine Casino Chef Showdown.

His Pistachio Encrusted King Salmon won the national championship over second-place finisher Chef Brian “Heath” Lanier from Fairbanks Steakhouse at Hollywood Casino in Tunica and his Crab Stuffed Soft Shell Crab.

“After nearly 15,000 votes, we are excited to crown chef Anthony Rametta from Scarlet Pearl Casino Resort the Culinary King of the Casino,” said G. Douglas Dreisbach, the magazine publisher. “Casinos around the world are known for their excellent dining options,” he said, and the competition showcased some of the finest chefs in the region.

Rametta said, “Blessed to be a part of The Scarlet Pearl Casino family and to have such a great crew behind me.”

His winning entrée will be available through September in Scarlet’s Steaks and Seafood at the D’Iberville casino.
