The new Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market on Washington Avenue in St. Martin will open this fall and the company has opened a hiring center to fill 95 jobs.
The job center at 6819 Washington Ave., south of Exit 50 of Interstate 10, is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Applications also are accepted online.
Wal-Mart said in a press release that most of the new employees will start work in September to get the store ready for its grand opening.
Store manager Angillette Williams said the company will be hiring full- and part-time staff.

A benefits program to eligible employees includes health-care coverage with no lifetime maximum. The company also offers matching 401(k) contributions, discounts on merchandise, a stock purchase program and a quarterly cash bonus to eligible employees.
Wal-Mart offers a job to any eligible U.S. veteran honorably discharged from active duty. The Veterans Welcome Home Commitment began Memorial Day 2013. Since then, more than 120,000 veterans nationwide have been hired.
Wal-Mart employs 25,435 people in Mississippi.
