A $2 million renovation of the Residence Inn Gulfport-Biloxi Airport is complete and people can tour the remodeled guest rooms and public spaces Thursday.
The grand reopening will be 5 t0 8 p.m. at the hotel at 14100 Airport Road. Refreshments will be provided.
The 108-room hotel was updated with modern geometric patterns and new paint, carpet, floor tile, curtains and soft-seating furniture.
“This renovation demonstrates our commitment to providing travelers in this area with the high-quality accommodations and value-added services synonymous with the Residence Inn by Marriott brand,” said Don Kreutzer, general manager.

The all-suite hotel offers studio, one- and two bedroom suites, and is designed for stays of five nights or more. Each suite has a fully equipped kitchen with coffeemaker, microwave oven and residential-sized appliances, and guests are able to work while on the road with a well-lit work desk, ergonomic chair and free high-speed internet access.
The complimentary hot breakfast buffet has to-go offerings and on select weeknights guests are invited to attend “The Mix,” a social event featuring free appetizers and drinks.
