He told police Plourde last told him she had gotten another hotel room for them and he needed to "start getting his stuff ready to go," Wheeler said.
"When he got his stuff ready, he went outside and saw her leaving without him," Wheeler said.
Since then, the fiancé told police he has been unable to find her.
"We are obviously trying to get ahold of her to make sure she's OK," Wheeler said. "We also called her siblings and they said it's very unusual for them not to hear from her every couple of days."
So far, Wheeler said police do no suspect foul play.
