Surveillance video obtained by WWL-TV on Tuesday shows the moment when an apparent passerby discovered the body of Thomas Rolfes early Saturday morning.

The video, taken in low light from a nearby urban wear and cellphone repair store, does not show a fight or how Rolfes' body wound up on the street. But it does show a person walking by finding the body at around 4:27 a.m., according to a timestamp. Police arrive 12 minutes later.

Investigators then determined that Rolfes had been shot in the chest. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Tyler Gamble, a Police Department spokesman, declined to comment on whether investigators believe Rolfes' body was dumped.
