Harrison County: Garbage will not be picked up Christmas Day. If your service day is Friday, it will be skipped and run on the next service day. Recycle and bulk pickup will run one day behind.

Jackson County: Garbage and recycling services will run one day behind.

WASTE MANAGEMENT

Poplarville: Friday pickup will run one day behind.

Bay St. Louis, Wiggins and Waveland: Friday pickup will run one day behind.

Hancock County and Diamondhead: Monday through Thursday garbage pickups will be on normal schedule. Friday pickup will run one day behind.

GOVERNMENT OFFICES

Closed today and Friday, and reopens Monday: Bay St. Louis, Biloxi, Diamondhead, D'Iberville, Gautier, Gulfport, Hancock County, Harrison County, Jackson County, Long Beach, Moss Point, Ocean Springs, Pascagoula, Pass Christian, Stone County Courthouse, U.S. District Court, Waveland and Wiggins.

LIBRARIES

Closed through Sunday, and reopens Monday: Hancock County Library System, Harrison County Library System, Jackson/George Regional Library System, and Long Beach Library.

TRANSPORTATION

Coast Transit Authority: CTA office will close at noon Thursday and reopen at 8 a.m. Monday. All fixed-route service operates on a Sunday time schedule on Christmas Eve and will be closed on Christmas Day. Normal service will resume Saturday.

UTILITIES

Closed today and Friday: West Jackson County Utilities, Mississippi Power Co., Gautier Utility District and Coast Electric Power Association

OTHERS

Closed today and Friday: Harrison, Hancock and Jackson counties' health departments
