Kemper's price rises $62 million more
The price of Mississippi Power Co.'s Kemper plant went up $62 million more, according to a federal filing that covers October.
"Customers will not pay for this increase," company spokesman Jeff Shepard said. "This is primarily related to resources needed for commissioning, start-up and testing activities, including additional resources related to completing punch list items as well as operational readiness."
The total cost of the project is now $6,448,000,000.
