Coast Guard searching for missing sailboat that left Biloxi

NEW ORLEANS -- The U.S. Coast Guard is searching for a sailor who departed Biloxi and was due to arrive in Corpus Cristi, Texas, last week but did not show up.

Officials are searching for 61-year-old Keith Carver of Tuscon, AZ.

Carver's girlfriend notified watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Corpus Christi that his 38-foot sailboat, the Carpe Noctem, was overdue on Nov. 4. Carver departed Biloxi Nov. 3. It's unclear if he was sailing alone.

Assisting in the search are a HC-144 Ocean Sentry airplane crew from Coast Guard Aviation Training Center Mobile and a HC-130 Hercules airplane crew from Coast Guard Air Station in Clearwater, Fla.,
