GULFPORT -- Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann delivered $7.8 million to the Coast legislative delegation and the Department of Marine Resources on Tuesday.
The money comes from tidelands leases, primarily to casinos, across the Coast's waterfront.
Jamie Miller, executive director of the DMR, said the money will be reinvested in the community for public piers, boat ramps and to teach the public about its marine resources.
Hosemann delivers the money, collected by his office and appropriated by the Legislature, each October.
