Dolphins arrive at IMMS

The Institute for Marine Mammal Studies is introducing a pair of dolphins this morning that will make their home in Gulfport.

Atlantic bottlenose dolphins Bo, a female, and Buster, a male, are the first to make their home on the Coast since Hurricane Katrina struck in 2005.

They will be part of a dolphin presentation at IMMS in which Bo and Buster will perform and take part in an educational display that can be seen during educational tours of the facility.

Also, starting Memorial Day weekend, IMMS will offer dolphin encounter and dolphin interaction programs that will allow people to get in the water with the dolphins, feed them and play with them.
