A Reuben, if done right, is a great sandwich
If you have been following this blog this week, you know we are looking back at some of my favorite food images I made while on assignment.
On Wednesday, I blogged about, and shared an image of, cheeseburgers, but a sandwich of almost any make will get me going if it is done right.
The Reuben is at the top of my long list of great sandwiches.
As I am sure you know, the Reuben is made with corned beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut and Russian dressing and is grilled on rye bread.
It is hard to think of a better sandwich when the ingredients are of the highest-quality and applied in the right quantity. In and Out Breakfast, 1711 Pass Rd., Biloxi, makes the best one I have ever had, and that is where today’s image came from.
This sandwich is a two-hander and requires half a roll of paper towels.
Any place that serves sandwiches and burgers and has wimpy napkins on the table, and not a full roll of paper towels, is expressing low expectations, in my opinion.
