This week, I am blogging about rice. My favorites are Thai Jasmin rice and Delta Blues Rice, grown on a farm just north of Indianola in the Mississippi Delta.
There is a seeminly endless list of delicious things you can do with rice, but one of my favorites is a leftover recipe.
Next time you decide to make a roast beef, buy one much larger than you need for a family meal. Combine the leftovers with carrots and potatoes, and remember to makes lots of gravy and serve this delicious stew over a scoop of steaming rice. I am not sure why this combination is so sustaining and hearty, but it is. If you want to make it completely over the top, add a nice dollop of fresh butter to the top.
