A Coast city was named the most romantic city in America. Yes, the Mississippi Coast.

Paris, Venice, Prague, Sydney — all cities known for romance.

According to a new ranking, Biloxi has joined the romantic elite.

OpenTable.com released its list for “most romantic” cities in America, with the Coast hub topping the ranking.

The website used three variables to compile a Top 25 list just in time for Valentine’s Day:

▪  Percentage of restaurants rated “romantic” according to OpenTable diner reviews.

▪  Percentage of tables seated for two.

▪  Percentage of people who dined out for Valentine’s Day in 2017.

For lovebirds still looking to make last-minute reservations, here are the top 10 Biloxi-area restaurants, according to OpenTable.com’s review rankings.

▪  1. Vestige

▪  2. Morton’s Steakhouse

▪  3. Tien (listed twice)

▪  4. Mignon’s Steaks & Seafood

▪  5. Thirty-two

▪  6. Ruth’s Chris Steak House

▪  7. Scarlet’s Steaks and Seafood

▪  8. Cora’s

▪  9. White Pillars

▪  10. Margaritaville Restaurant

If you’re curious what the website thinks of Biloxi (which it lumped in with Gulfport), you’re in luck:

“The strains of the blues wash over you as you walk barefoot in this beach town. Things move a little more slowly in Gulfport and invite you to enjoy life to the fullest, including when it comes to the food. The gumbo is second to none and the jambalaya will get you dancing. Heart and soul of the Mississippi Gulf Coast, this is the best place to crack open a cold one and take in the ambiance of the Deep South. In Biloxi, shrimp boats bring in a tasty catch, and you can try the fruits of the sea while kicking back on one of the wraparound porches.”

OpenTable.com previously released a ranking of top 100 romantic restaurants in 2018. Mississippi, however, was omitted from the list.
