BAY ST. LOUIS -- Police are investigating an armed robbery Tuesday morning at the Gas and Go service station on Mississippi 603 just south of Interstate 10.
The clerk told officers two men walked into the store about 8:30 a.m. One asked the clerk for some cigarettes, and when the clerk went to retrieve the cigarettes, the man brandished a handgun, Police Chief Mike De Nardo said.
Surveillance footage released by the Bay St. Louis Police Department shows one of the men pointing what appears to be a black handgun at the clerk.
The men took an undisclosed amount of cash and some store merchandise and left, De Nardo said.

Surveillance footage from the second store showed the men leaving in what appeared to be a U-Haul van. One of the men is described as white, in his mid-20s, of average height and weighing about 260 pounds. He was wearing a black hoodie and black baseball cap.
The other man is described as black, in his 20s, with a stocky build. He was wearing a red hoodie.
De Nardo said no one was injured in the robbery.
