Two more oyster areas will reopen Monday, the state Department of Marine Resources announced.
The two areas:
Square Handkerchief Reef and southern portions of Henderson Point Reef
Southern portions of the Pass Christian Reef
All other rules and regulations remain in place, officials said.
From May 1 through Sept. 30, it is illegal for any boats harvesting or transporting oysters to fail to provide the shellstock protection from sun exposure by not having an awning or covering, officials said.
