Accounts set up for B.J. Brown family
Two accounts have been set up to assist the family of offshore driller Brody "B.J." Brown, 31, of Stone County, who apparently drowned Saturday while camping with his wife and friends in rural Hancock County.
Final autopsy results will take about a month.
Thousands searched for Brown over several days after he went missing during a concert Saturday night at Muddy Joe's Off Road & RV Park. His body was recovered at 10 a.m. Wednesday from Tranquility Lake at the campground.
Brown had told his wife he was going to the restroom, then never returned. B.J. and Jenni Brown were childhood sweethearts with two sons. Jenni Brown is a stay-at-home mom.
The outpouring of support for the family continues. Family, friends, the offshore community and even strangers have rallied around the Browns.
The family has set up an account at the Bank of Wiggins to assist with the education of the Browns' sons, Bowen, 12, and Brayden, 8.
Donations to the B.J. Brown Memorial account can be dropped off at the Bank of Wiggins, or mailed to Bank of Wiggins, 109 West Pine Ave., Wiggins MS 39577.
A GoFundMe account has been set up by a woman from Kiln who was heartbroken by the tragedy. The Brown family has confirmed the account is in the name of Jenni Brown.
Funeral arrangements for B.J. Brown are pending.
