Additional oyster area opening Saturday in South Mississippi

BILOXI -- An additional oyster area will reopen for harvesting at legal sunrise Saturday, officials with the state Department of Marine Resources announced Friday.

The conditionally approved area that will open is Area II "D." This includes the public reefs in the Bay of St. Louis between the Bay Bridge and the CSX Railroad bridge.

The daily sack limit is 15 for tonging and 25 for dredging. All other current rules and regulations remain in effect.
