Coast home-sales prices dip for first time this year

For the first time in 2015, the average sales price of a home in South Mississippi was lower than in 2014.

The November report from the Mississippi Multiple Listing Service shows 54 more homes were sold in South Mississippi in November at an average sales price of $141,600 -- just below the price of $141,900 a year ago.

Year to date, the average sales price is $142,900, nearly $10,000 more than this time last year and the best since 2009.
