Countywide organization collects for food pantries
JACKSON COUNTY -- The Jackson County Partnership Initiative is holding a holiday food drive through Wednesday. Residents, churches, community groups, schools, civic and professional organizations and businesses are asked to donate items for local food pantries.
Fire departments are drop-off points for donations. The four cities will be accepting donations at their central fire stations only.
Items needed: Brown Sugar, mayonnaise, ketchup, olive oil, black pepper, garlic powder, meat tenderizer, Ziploc bags, aluminum foil, five-compartment trays, plastic spoons and forks, dinner napkins, paper towels, hand sanitizer, toilet paper, brooms and cleaning supplies.
