Man dies in car crash in Pascagoula

A man died in a one-car crash about 11:20 a.m. Wednesday in a parking lot off Jerry St. Pe Highway, Pascagoula police said.

He hit a Dumpster and then a support beam on a building at a storage facility just north of Ingalls Shipbuilding.

Medical personnel at Ingalls took him to Singing River Hospital, where he died.

The man's name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The accident remains under investigation.
