Pascagoula plans recycling workshop

PASCAGOULA -- The city and Waste Pro USA plan to present the workshop "Recycle: It's the Right Thing To Do" from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Scranton Nature Center, 3928 Nathan Hale Avenue. The presentation, by Waste Pro's Ann Myers, will offer information on Pascagoula's recycling guidelines and the importance of recycling.

Pascagoula offers curbside recycling. Recyclables are gathered the same day as regular garbage.

The workshop will show how individual recycling conserves land and energy, reduces air and water pollution and saves money.
