Singing River Health System will offer free testing for Alpha-1 Antitrypsin deficiency next week.
The test is recommended for patients with COPD, asthma or exercise-induced asthma since knowing the results may prevent, delay or reduce the rate of progression of lung disease.
Testing will be open to the public and employees on Monday from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. at the J.F. Turner Cente at Singing River Hospital in Pascagoula.
The test will be given from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday in the Ocean Springs Hospital Boardroom.
