HARRISON COUNTY -- A Tuesday night fire destroyed a double-wide mobile home and claimed a dog's life on Early Wynn Drive in Saucier.
The residents were not home at the time, Harrison County Fire Chief Pat Sullivan said.
The fire was reported about 10:30 p.m.
Sullivan said flames were shooting through the roof when firefighters arrived.

Sixteen firefighters and six units responded from Saucier, Lizana, McHenry, the Gulfport Combat Training Readiness Center and Harrison County Fire Services.
Sullivan said he had not been able to speak to the owner but he didn't believe the family living there had children in the home.
He said the American Red Cross will offer services to the family.
The cause of the fire wasn't immediately clear. It remains under investigation.
