The Gautier Town Center construction has been underway for several months, and the city has nearly completed the Nature's Playground sculpture.
The sculpture features a mosaic stained-glass ball that stands 45 feet tall. This is the beginning of the town center project, funded by a $6 million post-Katrina grant. The rest of the town center will include shops, restaurants, bars, an amphitheater and a 32-acre town green.
A dedication and ribbon-cutting for the sculpture will be held on-site at 10 a.m. on Friday.
