Stop the clock!

At last, we have secured information about traffic anticipated for an expanded port. I first asked the port for this information just shy of two weeks ago.

A study completed for the port estimates there will be 8,200 heavy truck trips to and from the port on an average weekday by year 2030.

Such a simple factoid, but so much wrangling to get it. The port, in fact, finally released to the newspaper a six-page Roadway Capacity Assessment.

It talks about traffic and the planned connector road between Interstate 10 and U.S. 90.

If you have any thoughts, I'd love to hear them. E-mail calee@sunherald.com
