Now that spring has returned, it's more evident that Biloxi is a tourist destination, especially on a drive down the beach. Today, as on most days, people were taking pictures at the base of the lighthouse and next to Marlin Miller's woodcarvings. Kites are flying and kids are playing in the sand. It won't be long before the jet skis are back on the beach.
Speaking of Marlin Miller, the Ft. Walton Beach, Fla. artist is in New Orleans this week carving an oak tree into a Great Dane in memory of the thousands of pets that died after Hurricane Katrina. The carving is at the new City Bark dog park at City Park of New Orleans.
