I've got to admit, it's been a while since I did any serious cooking. I've been content to curl up on the couch with a bowl of shrimp-flavored ramen and watch Alton Brown do all the real work. It happens occasionally. I just need to find something to inspire my creativity and my palate, and then I'm back in the kitchen.
Luckily, I've found a couple of Web sites that provide instant inspiration. TasteSpotting and FoodGawker both work the same way: readers create a patchwork of incredible food images by submitting their favorite food blog entries.
The main focus is on the photography and there are beautiful pictures of everything from green beans to papos de anjo and each photo links back to a recipe or article. It's perfect for finding new food blogs to follow, fantastic photography, and tons of new recipes to try (or just hoard until you get sick of ramen).
Happy browsing, and if you find anything good, let me know before I go grocery shopping tomorrow.
