Mississippi Highway Patrol spokesman Johnny Poulos said traffic on I-59 continues to flow despite some reports from other media outlets.
Poulos said that in Poplarville, the flow of traffic goes from four lanes to two lanes, so the traffic is moving a little slower, but it is moving.

And MDOT sent out a press release saying that fuel outages are sporadic because of the number of evacuees who have stopped to fuel up. Most stations will not receive more fuel until it is safe for trucks to be on the road again.
