Popular Gulfport Mexican restaurant announces reopening after 10-year closure

After a 10-year closure, Los Tres Amigos Tacos and Tequila Bar is set to reopen in Gulfport on Monday, June 15.

The restaurant first opened on East Pass Road in 1994 and closed in 2016. Its return has been in the works for months, with the owners teasing the reopening as early as December 2024.

With patterned tile along the bar and colorful murals across the walls, guests can expect an upscale interior and traditional flavors. The menu includes staples such as tacos and burritos, alongside specialty dishes such as birria ramen and pineapple fajitas.

Los Tres Amigos will offer lunch and dinner service, with à la carte options and combination plates. Guests can choose between booth and table seating, and a private party room will also be available for events, the owners said.

The restaurant will be open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.

“We are thrilled to be returning to Gulfport, MS, as we originally opened this restaurant back in 1994,” the owners said in a Facebook post. “Today, in 2026, it feels like just yesterday, and our excitement is even greater. We love it, God bless our community.”
