Almost time to get in line as Boomtown Biloxi opens its popular buffet after 5 years
Boomtown Casino Biloxi will reopen its seafood and Southern buffet next weekend.
The opening date is Friday, April 4, and yes, it will have crab legs.
A crab feast dinner will be available from 4-10 p.m. Friday through Sunday.
After the April 4 opening, hours and prices will be:
▪ Friday — Lunch frenzy 11 a.m.-2 p.m. $15.99
▪ Friday — Crab feast dinner 3-10 p.m. $49.99
▪ Saturday — All day crab feast: 10 a.m.-10 p.m. $49.99
▪ Sunday — All day crab feast: 10 a.m.-9 p.m. $49.99
The crab feasts include all you can eat snow crab legs, blue crab, crawfish and shrimp.
Children ages 4-12 get 50% off and those three and under eat free.
Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon cutting at 4:30 p.m. on April 3, followed by a reception for invited guests.
“We can’t wait for everyone to experience everything the Biloxi Bay Buffet will have to offer,” said Boomtown Casino Biloxi manager Barry Regula.
Biloxi Bay Buffet will feature the flavors of the Gulf Coast, plus crab legs that always were a hit on the buffet that closed in 2020.
The new restaurant will be in a similar footprint to the former buffet on the second floor, but with a completely new look, said Kyle Widdows, vice president of marketing.
The look and feel is coastal casual and the space provides views of the Biloxi Bay.
It will be one of only a few casino buffets on the Coast where children are allowed.
“We wanted to create an innovative dining experience that you can’t find anywhere else — where people can enjoy great food and incredible service,” said Barry Regula, general manager of Boomtown Biloxi. “Our team is passionate about bringing the best to our guests, and we’ve infused that passion into every aspect of this new buffet.”
They will start with snow crab legs and perhaps change up the variety, Widdows said.
A selection of seasonal seafood favorites like Cajun-boiled crawfish and fresh blue crab will also appear on the buffet.
“We’ve taken everything our guests loved about the previous buffet and elevated it to new heights,” said Chef James Snuggs, assistant food and beverage director, “We will still be serving some beloved favorites from the original Boomtown buffet, including crispy whole fried catfish and all the classic comfort foods everyone remembers.”
There are some changes to the original buffet, he said.
To keep the base price down and offer some splurges, the buffet will offer a la carte options, “such as grilled beef tenderloin cooked to your preferred temperature, herb butter and Japanese bread crumb broiled oysters and roasted cold water lobster tails,” he said.
A bottomless cocktail is another add-on customers can order, with beer on tap and daiquiris from Boomtown’s Fat Tuesday Daiquiri Bar on U.S. 90 in Biloxi.
