Dozens of MS Coast restaurants will be open on Christmas Day. Here’s the list & menus
Those whose idea of a Christmas feast doesn’t involve chopping, baking and cleanup will find restaurants and casino buffets open on Christmas Day in South Mississippi.
Most of the restaurants open on the holiday are at the 12 Coast casinos or inside one of the resorts. Some national chains also will be open — including Waffle House, which are as plentiful and open 24 hours all along the Coast.
Chefs are preparing the traditional turkey and ham, along with Southern specialties, crab legs and shrimp, Asian dishes and tempting desserts.
Here’s who’s cooking for Christmas:
White House Hotel on U.S. 90 in Biloxi is featuring a four course dinner ($60) at Cora’s Restaurant & Bar from 5-9 p.m., with corn and crab bisque, Caesar salad, prime rib and peppermint cheesecake. Reservations highly recommended.
Saltgrass Steak House on U.S. 90 in Biloxi will be open from 11 a.m.-4p.m., with a holiday steak and shrimp special plus the regular steak and seafood menu.
Margaritaville Resort Biloxi on U.S. 90 in East Biloxi will be busy with families playing at Escape Arcade & Family Entertainment Center. Margaritaville Cafe and the other restaurants will be open for those who don’t want to cook.
Waffle House restaurants are open Christmas and every day, so customers can order their hash browns scattered, smothered or covered for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Casino buffets and restaurants
Many of the restaurants and buffets at the Coast casinos are open Christmas Day and featuring holidays specials. They include:
Beau Rivage Resort & Casino — The Buffet will offer a holiday brunch Christmas Eve and Christmas day from 8-10 a.m. $32.99 for adults and $19.99 for children. The holiday buffet is from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. both days and features prime rib, shrimp boil, peppermint brownies. $49.99 for adults and $25.99 for children. Kids four and under eat free.
BR Prime will be open from 4:30–9:30 p.m. with the full menu and holiday specials like bouillabaisse ($15), prime rib and sides ($72), peppermint hot chocolate cheesecake ($15). Reservations required.
Salt & Ivy will be open Christmas from 6 a.m.-midnight. Special is a platter of crab, shrimp and spinach stuffed flounder ($38). Reservations encouraged.
The Daquiri Shop will be open from noon to 9 p.m. with tacos, empanadas, frozen daiquiris.
Snacks will be open with a featured eggnog cheesecake. Full menu available Christmas Eve from 10 a.m.– 5 a.m. and Christmas Day from 11 a.m. – 5 a.m.
Roasted Bean will be open from 5:30 a.m.–8 p.m. with festive food and beverage specials
Jia will be open from 4:30–10 p.m. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Reservations required.
BetMGM Book Bar & Grill open 11 a.m.–10 p.m.
Golden Nugget Biloxi — Among the restaurants open on Christmas at the resort is Morton’s Steakhouse. The holiday special is a Chateaubriand three-course dinner for two on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and through New Year’s Eve. Also snow aged A5 wagyu ribeye, Australian wagyu filet, prime porterhouse for two and tomahawk for two until Dec. 31.
Hard Rock Biloxi — Christmas buffet is open from 4-8 p.m. $39.99
Hollywood Casino Gulf Coast — The buffet is open from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. and includes all-you-can eat shrimp and crab. This is the only casino in South Mississippi with a crab legs buffet where kids under 21 are allowed. Kids 3 & Under are free. Kids 4-12 are 50% off.
IP Casino Biloxi — Thirty-two is open 5-10 p.m. Shrimp and scallop pasta ($26), veal Osso Buco ($68), roasted swordfish ($54). For dessert is milk and warm Christmas cookies plus chocolate truffles.
Tien will feature Santa Roll with snow crab, cream cheese, spicy tuna topped with shrimp ($21.88), Korean fried chicken bao ($16.88), seafood lao gan ma noodle with sea scallops, Gulf shrimp, lobster )$38.88).
Bayview will have a special 6 ounce beef filet with red wine glaze, sides and snickerdoodle cheesecake ($45).
Island View Casino — The Diner is open 10 a.m.-10 p.m., with roast turkey dinner, trimmings and sweet potato pie ($20).
C&G Grille is open 10:30 a.m.-11 p.m., Turkey or ham with sides, and banana pie ($26).
The Buffet is open 11 a.m.- 10 p.m., with carved beef, ham, salmon, Gulf shrimp ($29.99).
The Dockside Deli is open, 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Turkey or sausage dinner with applesauce cake ($21).
Prime Cut is open 5-10 p.m. Beef tenderloin or sea bass and pumpkin Swiss cake roll. ($45).

Palace Casino Biloxi — Mignon’s Steaks & Seafood is open from 5-10 p.m. Christmas special menu items are lobster bisque, cobia lemonfish filet, beef tenderloin and a cranberry yule log dessert, in addition to the a la carte menu.
Palace Buffet is open from 11 a.m.-9 p.m., with prime rib, ham, turkey, boiled shrimp. $40 ($38 with Players Club Card)
Scarlet Pearl Casino — Scarlet’s Steak and Seafood is open Christmas Eve and Christmas 4-9 p.m., with lobster thermidor ($80),, beef Wellington ($78), Creme de mint cheesecake
Under the Oak Cafe Herb will feature crusted pork tenderloin dinner ($25) and eggnog bread pudding
Silver Slipper Casino — Christmas buffet with Dungeness crab and jumbo shrimp. 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Ages 21 and older. $49.95 or $2 Comp
