New three-in-one restaurant and entertainment venue comes with MS Coast water views

The new owners of The Tiki Bar and Grill created a place to go for a romantic date, a family night out and dancing on the weekends.

The grand opening of this new three-in-one restaurant begins at 11 a.m. Friday. The restaurant is at the Mary Walker Marina, 3212 Mary Walker Dr. in Gautier, overlooking the water.

New owners Vieva and Christopher Battiste have remodeled the restaurant and created a menu with upscale steaks and seafood, along with burgers, chicken and pasta.

The upstairs was given plush seating, soft lighting and a more intimate setting, where diners can relax with an appetizer, feast on steaks and seafood, savor gourmet salads and sides and savor cheesecake or other desserts.

Reservations are recommended and the space can be rented for private gatherings.

Downstairs is the place for casual family-style dining, with favorites like seafood gumbo and crispy fried chicken, kid-friendly sandwiches and custom burgers.

The downstairs area doubles as the entertainment area on weekends.

“It’s all kinds of live music,” Vieva said — ‘60s tunes, ‘80s, music, blues, country and rock — played by mostly local bands.

Beer and wine are available now and it will become a full bar once a liquor license is obtained, Vieva said.

The restaurant, which is handicap accessible, is open from 3 to 10 p.m. daily.
