Best fried chicken in Mississippi is at this restaurant, says Yelp. Why folks love it
You don’t have to drive too far to find the best fried chicken in Mississippi.
Yelp recently appointed a Moss Point favorite as the all-time best in the Magnolia State. Faye’s Kitchen currently has nothing but 5-star reviews, which earned the Grierson St. restaurant a spot on the Yelp list.
A Colorado resident left the site’s latest review. “The service and food at this place can’t be beat. We tried the fried chicken, chicken spaghetti, smothered pork chops, turnip greens, rutabagas, green beans, and banana pudding,” wrote Kim N. a couple weeks ago. “Everything was delicious, and the service was incredibly friendly. Faye’s Kitchen is a new favorite. We will be back whenever we are in town.”
Methodology
Only one restaurant was chosen in each state. Yelp limited their selections to restaurants listed as “chicken shop” on their website. The restaurants had to have passing health scores as of June 25, 2024, and a “large concentration of five star Elite reviews.”
Why folks love Faye’s
With a mere 25 published reviews on the site, you may be hesitant to believe the hype, but other social media outfits were also full of praise. On Google, 437 reviews contributed to Faye’s rating of 4.7 out of 5.
Of the 68 people who left a review on Faye’s Kitchen Facebook page, 98% said they would recommend it.
A strong recommendation led Peter Benes to Faye’s. His Facebook review said the restaurant was “outstanding in every way.”
“Quantity, quality, service, price. I can’t imagine how it could be any better,” said Benes.
A Florida couple also sang the praises of Faye’s soul food, saying it was the best they had ever had.
