It’s football season! Here are my favorite places to find wings on the Mississippi Coast.
It’s fall, y’all. And you know what that means? No, not pumpkin spice lattes and Bath and Body Works candles. It’s time for football and chicken wings.
Mississippi knows wings just as much as it knows ball and there’s plenty of places to go on the Coast for a saucy basket or a dry six-count.
Here are some of the best places in the Gulfport-Biloxi metro for wings. If you don’t see your favorite on the list, let us know!
Murky Waters
Murky Waters is one of the most popular barbecue places on the Coast with locations in Gulfport, Ocean Springs and Bay St. Louis. There’s a Hattiesburg spot too if you’re headed up Highway 49 for a Southern Miss game. Their menu is deep and includes nachos, quesadillas, ribs and more, but the wings are must-have.
The wings are smoked and flash friend, and there’s a special every Wednesday where wings are just 50 cents each.
Murky’s wings are award winning and come smoked, flash fried and in a variety of sauce flavors.
“These wings were smoked to perfection and sauced like a kiss from an angel. We loved it!” a Yelp reviewer said.
Gotta Lovett Wings and Things
The food truck travels around the Coast and can be spotted at Biloxi football games, Stennis Space Center in Hancock County and Keesler Air Force Base.
The wings come in over a dozen flavors with other menu offerings including catfish and chicken tenders.
“Got the catfish and wings plate w/ a side of fried okra. Both the catfish and wings were perfectly fried and seasoned. Catfish was moist and the chicken fell off the bone once you bit in. 10/10,” one Facebook reviewer said.
Boogies Grill and Chill
Boogies in Biloxi is a great spot for anyone hoping to catch the game with a plate of wings in front of them in Biloxi. Sauces come in lemon pepper, butter parmesan or the spicy scorpion flavor.
The food is really good, especially the smoked wings. I get them a lot. They have great flavor and lots of good sauces to go with them.
Sipp Wingz
Pascagoula’s military-owned restaurant specializes specifically in wings. Sipp Wingz has 12 different flavors to choose from, including bourbon, honey hot and spicy pineapple. The wings also come in boneless!
“Great service, great wings, and great people,” one Google reviewer said.
