The view. The cocktails. The shrimp scampi dip. This MS Coast restaurant has it all.
Sometimes a good meal just isn’t enough.
South Mississippians knows this, they’ve perfected the combined arts of food and good vibes and have honed their crafts within that lane for years.
It’s a balance that’s been struck perfectly in a small building off Highway 90 in Ocean Springs. Sitting on the restful waters of the Back Bay of Biloxi is a restaurant that wraps up its three ventures into a simple name: Eat Drink Love.
The restaurant and 701 Craft bar offers great food, health-conscious options, tremendous views and a relaxed environment.
In a town full of lunch spots, Eat Drink Love shouldn’t be left out of any rotation. The lunch menu features many classic sandwich and burger options, as well as some of their own unique menu items.
Much of the lunch menu leans on the healthier side, but my visit did not yield anything of that nature.
I ordered the shrimp scampi dip and a reuben on rye and left a few pounds heavier than when I arrived. It was more than worth it.
The sandwich was thickly layered with cuts of shaved pastrami and topped with a sauerkraut and Russian dressing mix. The view over the bay that came with it wasn’t bad, either.
The scampi dip was legit the best that I’ve had on the Coast. It came with a huge, fluffy cut of garlic bread and was served in a mini iron skillet.
Many locals know the spot for other reasons. The chill environment kicks up a notch in the evening when the doors open for dinner and the menu flips to new offerings.
The dinner menu is especially health-conscious. Most items are gluten free, including the six different pizzas cooked with cauliflower crust.
For something less healthy, watch the sun set over the bay with a blueberry cheesecake, flourless chocolate cake or butter toffee bundt cake.
Even the drink menu takes on a new vibe in the evening when you can order a chocolate banana martini or try a glass of drambuie or amaro montenegro.
Whether it’s lunch or dinner you’re after, Eat Drink Love has found a way to cater to every facet of the Coast dining connoisseur.
Did I say cater? Yes, they cater, too!
