This award-winning Coast eatery named the most charming restaurant in Mississippi

A Gulfport favorite recently received accolades for its undeniable charm.

The Chimneys was selected as Mississippi’s most charming restaurant by London-based website Lovefood.com.

The website listed a number of factors that led to the recognition of the seafood restaurant.

“This stunning mansion house has a picturesque setting on the Gulfport waterfront, surrounded by lush gardens with a beautiful view across the water,” said Deborah Cicurel, a writer at Love Food. “The Chimneys combines Southern architecture and a predominantly seafood menu with dishes such as crab claws, fried oyster salad, baked seafood eggplant, and excellent fish tacos. Customers say it’s a charming spot and the service is impeccable.”

The Chimneys is located in Gulfport, just a stone’s throw from the shore.

The Chimneys shares the ranks with heavy hitters like Commander’s Palace, Louisiana’s most charming eatery; and Alabama pick, Fisher’s in Orange Beach.

Cicurel said the selection process took under consideration the awards and accolades, user reviews and “first-hand experience of our team.”
