A popular downtown Ocean Springs restaurant has been sold. Here’s the new plan.
A popular downtown Ocean Springs restaurant and bar is changing hands from one restaurant group to another.
Ownership of Charred Steak & Oyster Bar at 1019 Government St. transfers Tuesday, when Nicaud Restaurant Group will sell the eatery to Mosaic Group.
The new owner will keep the same branding and staff, including head chef Connor, the Nicaud Group said in a press release.
The Mosaic Group has owned Mosaic Restaurant & Bar in Ocean Springs since 2005 and recently opened Red Apple Lounge, Neon Moon, Lost Spring Brewing Company and the Vines.
“Charred has been open for eight successful years, and we look forward to the continued growth of this business in the hands of the Mosaic Group,” said Wes Newell, chief operating officer of Nicaud Restaurant Group.
The Nicaud family also owns Rooftop Taco & Tequila Bar and Bacchus On The Bayou in Ocean Springs, Field’s Steak & Oyster Bar in Biloxi and Bay St. Louis, and The Deck and Bacchus On The Beach in Pass Christian.
