This new Mississippi Coast food truck turns American favorites into Asian street food

Katsu chicken curry. A cheesesteak-style sammy with kimchi. A hot dog with teriyaki and nori.

Those are just some of the flavor combinations you’ll find at Hungry Homiez, one of the Mississippi Coast’s newest food trucks.

The spot is hidden in plain sight off Washington Avenue in St. Martin, right in front of Ben’s Boat Dock.

The owners of the food truck keep locals in the loop on which days they will be open on their Facebook page. They typically open around lunchtime and will stay open until there is no more food.

The menu is small and diverse. Offerings include plates, sandwiches and even “glizzy” hot dogs. You can also get Thai popsicles and sugarcane drinks.
