Here’s your guide to finding the best boiled crawfish on the Mississippi Gulf Coast

Crawfish season is here, South Mississippi!

Spring and summer mean boils with family and friends and trying crawfish from the many restaurants, seafood markets and grocery stores across the Mississippi Coast.

Summer is also a popular time for tourism — people visiting the Gulfport-Biloxi metro from New Orleans, Atlanta and other cities across the US come here for beaches, casinos and fresh Gulf seafood.

The Sun Herald asked local residents to help build a guide to the best places for boiled crawfish in South Mississippi. Hundreds of people submitted their favorite places to get mudbugs.

We’ve put your responses in this city-by-city list. From Bay St. Louis to Gulfport to Pascagoula and beyond, here are your favorite spots to get crawfish. Some spots on the list are well-known seafood restaurants or local grocery chains, and others are known for their Viet-Cajun recipes.

Hours and availability are subject to change, and some restaurants and stores only offer boiled crawfish on certain days or the weekend. Most places sell boiled crawfish by platter or the pound. Fixings like potatoes, corn, sausage and more may cost extra, depending on the restaurant.

Check business Facebook pages or websites for updates and information before you go. Crawfish is wildly popular and may sell out.
