From gas stations to food trucks, here are the best hidden gem restaurants on the Coast
I’m Jessica Patterson-Smith, the Sun Herald’s new food and fun intern reporter covering restaurants, dining and all things cool and unique on the Mississippi Coast.
I’m a South Mississippi native, but I wanted to go on a hunt to find the best hidden gem restaurants in our area.
More than 1,000 people responded, and I put together a list of the top 10 hidden gems on the Coast. I’ve never heard of many of them, and I’m excited to try them all.
From food trucks to gas stations to bars to restaurants, here’s the list of most popular hidden gems in our area.
- The Scratch Kitchen, Ocean Springs
- Dolly’s Quick Stop, Kiln
- White Pillars, Biloxi
- Taranto’s Seafood, Biloxi
- Starfish Cafe, Bay St. Louis
- Sea Level, Pass Christian
- Pirate’s Cove, Pass Christian
- Bradley’s Cajun Quick Stop, Long Beach
- Beachside at Buoys, Bay St. Louis
- Martha’s Tea Room, Ocean Springs
I’m hoping to try as many of these spots as I can during my three months with the Sun Herald. Be on the lookout for my food reviews soon.
Do you have a suggestion for a restaurant I should try? Email me and let me know at jepatterson@sunherald.com.
