Get breakfast nachos, oysters & grits and more at this new brunch spot in Ocean Springs

A new brunch spot open in Ocean Springs offering house-made biscuits, grits and other Southern staples with a twist.

Lazy Oak Bistreaux, located at 503 Porter Avenue, is open Wednesday to Sunday and offers breakfast and brunch classics. The business unveiled their official brunch menu on Facebook. Guests can start ordering from it Thursday.

The menu has Mississippi Coast inspired options such as the “chargrilled,” a dish of grits with chargrilled oysters, creole cream, Parmesan cheese and the vegetable trinity for $18.99.

For those that prefer biscuits, there are a number of options including the “downtowner” that comes topped with eggs, bacon, sausage and a slice of American cheese.

Other unique offerings include “macho nacho” — a plate of tortilla chips covered in sausage and bacon crumble, fried egg, jalapeño, sour cream, pico and avocado ranch drizzle — and a fried softshell crab biscuit.

There’s also a maple bacon dip which has bacon, cream cheese and maple syrup.
