The iconic restaurant chain started the special, white-tablecloth dinner service in 2008 in John’s Creek, Georgia, according to AL.com.
Each year, more locations across the country take part. This year, about 200 Waffle Houses will be participating, said Njeri Boss, the company’s director of public relations.
Reservations are generally for times between 5-9 p.m. but may vary depending upon location. These reservations are for booth-style seating. Restaurants usually leave lower and higher counter spaces open for other diners. Some restaurants may also offer special menu items in addition to the full menu that evening, Boss said.
