Michael George Hage Jr.

Michael George Hage Jr. of Gulport is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael George Hage Sr.

He is a fifth-grade student Bayou View Middle School where he is on the All "A" Honor Roll and took third-place in the district spelling bee.

He is a member of St. James Catholic Church, select soccer for Gulf Coast United Soccer Club, Pine Burr Boy Scout troop and Gulfport Yacht Club swim team.

GCCA affiliation: Michael's father Michael Hage Sr. was a flag bearer and later a duke in 2012. This grandfather Dr. Phillip Hage was a duke in 1993. His aunt Sheryl Hage Taylor was a maid in 1985. His aunt Kathryn Fadwa Hage was a maid in 1986.

Carter McLendon

Carter McLendon of Biloxi is the son of Jonathan and Aimee McLendon.

He is a student at Our Lady of Fatima Elementary School where he has been consecutively on the All "A" Honor Roll and was recipient of the Citizenship Award for the past three years. He is a member of the Our Lady of Fatima track team. He plays baseball with the City of Biloxi league and flag football with Upward Sports. He holds a black belt in taekwondo.

Carter is a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church where he serves as an altar server.

GCCA affiliation: Carter's father Jonathan McLendon served as a flag bearer in 1988 and a duke in 2012.

Sophie Jay Schloegel

Sophie Jay Schloegel of Gulfport is the daughter of Michael and Ashley Schoegel.

She is a student at Bayou View Middle School where she is a Viking cheerleader. She is Miss Pre-teen Gulfport and was second runner up at the Miss Magnolia State pageant that took place in July in Vicksburg.

She is a member of St. James Catholic Church in Gulfport where she is an altar server. Sophie enjoys gymnastics, horseback riding, snow skiing, and traveling.

GCCA affiliation: Sophie's grandmother Peggy Harry Schoegel was Queen Ixolib in 1959. Her grandfather George Schoegel was King d'Iberville in 1988. Her aunt Melissa Schloegel Marion was Queen Ixolib in 1983. Her father Michael Schoegel was a page in 1983 and 1988.

Ann Lauren Schmidt

Ann Lauren Schmidt of Biloxi is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Schmidt.

She is a sixth-grade student at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Elementary School where she has been on the All "A" Honor Roll each semester since first-grade. She has received the Top Accelerated Reader Award and each school year since kindergarten she has received the Citizenship Award. She was selected as a participant in Academic Com

petition for Excellence in math. She was a member of the third-place team in the coast-wide math competition. She also is a member of the Our Lady of Fatima track team.

She has been a dance student for eight years and piano student for six years. She is a three-year member of Kelli Steps School of Dance competition team. She was selected as one of four children to participate in the Children's International Summer Village month-long camp in Lisbon, Portugal in the summer of 2014.

She is a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.

GCCA affiliation: Ann Lauren's father Richard Schmidt, Jr. was a page in in 1982, a duke in 2009, and captain in 2014 and 2015. Her mother Cecilia Gollott Schmidt was a maid in 1990. Her brother Jack was a flag bearer in 2007. Her brother Heath was a flag bearer in 2012 and a page in 2013. Her great-grandfather Dr. Harry Schmidt was King d'Iberville in 1950. Her grandfather Dr. Richard Schmidt Sr. was a duke in 1989.
