Fun By-The-River: Several events will celebrate Moss Point's 115th anniversary at the Riverfront Center and Park. Run the River 5K, 8:30 a.m., will start at the Pelican Landing parking lot. To register, call Tony Roberts at 272-1192. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the riverfront, the first American Outboard Federation boat race will take place. Fun By The River will host exhibits from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Parade of Memories participants will line up at 10 a.m. at the Magnolia Middle School parking lot for a noon celebration of decorated cars, floats, bicycles, walkers, bands and more. The theme is Remembering Our Past. Businesses, churches, schools, banks and other groups are encouraged to participate. At 5 p.m., winners from the parade will be announced, followed by live band music and a fireworks show.
