Christmas celebrations are in full swing along the Coast as communities embrace the season with ice skating, boat parades and holiday performances.
Families with little ones won't want to miss the Disney on Ice production of "Let's Celebrate!" at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum in Biloxi at 10:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 2 and 6 p.m. Saturday, and at 2 p.m Sunday. Long Beach is getting into the spirit during its annual Christmas on the Avenue event from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday on the Harper McCaughan Town Green. The festivities, featuring arts and crafts, food, performers and demonstrations, are presented by the Long Beach Concert Choir Association.

The annual Christmas on the Bayou boat parade will get underway at 6 p.m. Saturday on the Gulfport Lake near The Dock Bar & Grill. The parade will travel down Bayou Bernard to the mouth of the bayou at Big Lake. Seating stands are available for public viewing at Gulfport Lake, the foot of the Cowan-Lorraine Road Bridge, the Blow Fly Inn, Kremer's Landing and Switzer Park.
