Coming up Dec. 12: Christmas on the Bayou boat parade in Gulfport

The Christmas on the Bayou boat parade will roll at 6 p.m. Dec. 12 in Gulfport.

Boaters will begin lining up at 5 p.m. The route begins at Gulfport Lake between The Dock Bar and Grill and the public boat ramps on the south side.

The boats will proceed past the viewing stands down Bayou Bernard to the conclusion at the mouth of the bayou at Big Lake. Public viewing, by around 7:30 p.m., is at the Blow Fly Inn and the foot of the Cowan-Lorraine bridge, Kremer's Landing and Switzer Park.

A captains' meeting for participants will be from 5:30 to 6:30 Dec. 10 at The Dock.
