SunHerald digital producer Regina Zilbermints and I are planning on running the Mississippi Gulf Coast Marathon in December.

We aren't sure if we're going to run the half or the full, but the one thing we know for certain is that we want to know the best routes to forego in South Mississippi while we train.

Reg and I run together, and we often hit the beach sidewalk near downtown Gulfport for a night run. The view is beautiful, and sometimes we jog in Jones Park. Spoiler alert: I always stop for an Instagram photo near the lighthouse.

We want to train across the Coast for the marathon since we'll potentially be looking at the beach for 26.2 miles.

So, where do you run? We want flat surfaces. We want hills. We want to run near the water, near downtown areas, or near the countryside. Do you run down an offbeat path? Tell us about it.

If you send us a Google Map of where you run or jog, we promise to run at least some of the route while we train to run a marathon.

We want to keep our runs in the three Coastal counties, but anywhere within that area is fair game.

Email Justin or Regina with your map and include your Instagram handle. The duo will tag you in a photo when they get to your favorite running destination.
