Comedian Tig Notaro is a busy person.

The former Pass Christian resident's first book, "I'm Just a Person," was recently published by HarperCollins and is out in bookstores.

"I'm Just a Person" is an unflinching look at the events in Notaro's life during 2012, which included her battle with a debilitating illness, the death of her mother and her diagnosis with bilateral breast cancer that led to a double mastectomy.

The book is available at Pass Christian Books/Cat Island Coffeehouse.

In addition, Notaro and her wife, Stephanie Allynne, are expecting twins. The two were married in a beachfont ceremony in Pass Christian in October.

And if being a published author and expectant mother were not enough, Notaro's publicist said she also is shooting a full season of her new TV show, "One Mississippi," which is produced by Louis CK.

The semi-autobiographical show follows Notaro's character as she returns to her hometown after the death of her mother. It also stars Noah Harpster and "SNL" alum Casey Wilson.

It is scheduled to air on Amazon's streaming service later this year.

Though Notaro's hometown is Pass Christian, the series is being filmed in the Gulf Coast town of Texas City, Texas.
