Baldwin will present Aloneliness dance

Aloneliness, the latest dance piece by local choreographer Summer Baldwin, will be presented at 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Mary C. O'Keefe Cultural Center, 1600 Government St., Ocean Springs.

Baldwin, formerly a Brooklyn-based dancer, aerialist and actress, moved to the Gulf Coast in 2012, and has been working in and around New Orleans. She has had several film roles and has received various honors, including being voted one of the Top Three Performing Artists of the Year with the New Orleans RAW Artist Showcase at The Eiffel Society in 2013.

A duet featuring Baldwin and Katy Gaines, Aloneliness explores the momentum between healing, refreshing solitude and harmful, crushing loneliness. It includes an original electronic score by Billy Louviere of Portland, Ore.; live vocal accompaniment by local singer Leah Rodgers; and a mixed media art installation by local visual artist Julia Reyes.

Admission: $15 for nonmembers and $12 for members.
