Watercolor workshop will be at Gulfport gallery

A watercolor workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 19-21 at the Gulfport Galleria of Fine Art, 1300 24th Ave.

Learn to paint easy "forgiving" watercolors in bold, rich colors with instructor Sharon Long, a Florida artist and artist member of the Gulfport Galleria. Long has been a professional artist and workshop instructor since 1982 and she has led workshops across the United States.

Participants are able to choose to take a half day, whole day or all three days. All skill levels are welcome and no drawing or sketching experience is needed. Fees start at $45 for a half day and savings are provided with a three-day registration.

Spring Choral Concert is Thursday at MGCCC

A Spring Choral Concert will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, Jefferson Davis campus, in the Fine Arts Auditorium. The concert features the MGCCC Jefferson Davis Choir and Coastal Vibrations. Admission is free.

B.Y.O. Brush Studio announces April events

B.Y.O. Brush Studio, 1204 Bienville Blvd., Ocean Springs, will hold a variety of events in April.

Paint parties include "Girl on Fire," Tall Cross or Fleur de Lis, "Blue Water," Pop Art, Date Night, Mississippi-themed canvases, "Tide Tree" and "Sea Nettle."
